We had a great day of travel! Zaeda was a lot easier than I thought she would be on the flight! That is not to say that it was all easy- just easier than I thought it would be. She only had crying moments twice or so on the way to Honolulu and once on the inter island flight to Kauai. We were lucky on the first flight. A flight attendant was willing to give us a whole row of seats to ourselves so that Zaeda could have her own area to travel in. How nice! We had a lot more space and she enjoyed being able to play in the middle seat between us.
We got in to Kauai and had a nice dinner with my grandparents, and ZONKED OUT. Zaeda was out within 10 minutes of putting her in her crib. She slept all night. I was happy that I could get some rest- since the next day we were up at 5 am ( felt lilke our 8 am.)
Ok. So I am still learning the basics of this blog site… so, hang with us and we will soon have this figured out! As for me, I am off to bed… I have to wake up EARLY so that I can make sure everything is in order for our departure to HAWAII!
Wow. So, you want to know a little bit more about us? Ok. Well. We’re going to start off with a little introduction into our lives. A little history of Mike and Mel.
A lot of people were highschool sweethearts, but Mike and I, we met in Preschool. Thats right, three or four years old. But, you’ll be happy to know that we held off on the dating world until we were about thirteen. We hung out and played video games…maybe caught a movie. Before we dated we were really great friends, so it made perfect sense- thats not to say that it was easy to stop being “one of the guys” and start being “Mike’s girlfriend.”
So, time came and went, and we grew closer in a tightknit group of friends and youth group influences. We decided that the next proper step was to get married. Mike was busy working and going to school for computer sciences. I was busy attending Marylhurst University where I was set to graduate with a B.A. in Pyschology.
On September 8th of 2002 we got married at Menucha Conference and Retreat Center in Corbett, Oregon (our hometown.). Menucha was the most awesome spot to get married. It meant a lot to us to be so close to family and friends.
